Thanksgiving and Christmas Events…Thank You !

December 16, 2019

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Wolcott Food Pantry.

We’d like to thank our residents, elected officials, town employees our volunteers and countless local businesses that extend their help in support of the Wolcott Food Pantry.

Recently we enjoyed our time with the pantry’s truck accepting donations from those attending the ‘Trick or Trunk’ event held at Wolcott High School.

We held our Thanksgiving Day ‘dinner donations’ to those families amongst us that would have difficulty enjoying the day like many of us with plenty to eat. Over 100+ Turkeys and ‘sides’ were distributed.

Today, our local Senior center’s ‘Knitting Ladies’ sent over a box of knitted winter clothing for us to distribute. Joe Golden delivered boxes of food collected by the Wolcott Police Department staff. Town Public Works employees stopped over to help decorate the Pantry house to help with the Christmas spirit.

Please remember the effort by the residents of Frisbie Circle Many in the neighborhood decorate their homes for the Christmas holiday and invite residents to ‘drive through’ and bring a food donation that they then turn over to the Food Pantry. It is a cul-de-sac, so drive slowly

There are so many to thank for their generosity all year long. Our 2020 goal is to continue to help those in need and to do a better job of letting the town know of the great and generous acts of giving by the residents of Wolcott!

Check out our photos for some random pics of our volunteers helping out.

Thank you and from all the elves at the Pantry we wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
